about
Born in 1990 and originally from Toulouse, Camille lives and works in Limoges.
After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and living in the United States, she chose to join the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Art in Limoges where she studied design and ceramics and graduated in 2018.
She then joined the La Céramique Comme Expérience program where she continued her research work around ceramics, glass and multiple materials, combining traditional manufacturing techniques with new technologies, art and science.
A perpetual traveler, she travels through various fields of knowledge without worrying about established borders. For several years, she has been developing collaborative work with a team of scientists
specializing in biology and plant physiology.
Her work also leads her to disciplines from industry, hence her collaboration with the head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Production of the university and other institutions such as start-ups, laboratories or companies in the region. It is through his wanderings, his discoveries and his encounters that new experiences are built. By crossing scientific facts, myths, History, to other data, it emerges leads that question our perception and relationship to the world.
Its devices, in their «functional and fictional» dimension, have been imagined to question the ambiguous relationships that man has with his environment, the place of the living/plant in our society, as well as the power of the imaginary generated by the exploration of
this «lost nature».
With adventure stories in mind, she projects herself into fictions that engage the creation of images of a plurality of possible, real and imaginary worlds and gives shape to projects born of a fascination for ecosystems, halfway between utopia and dystopia. Fiction and experimentation are as much a part of her practice as collaborative work.
Today, Camille continues her explorations, undertakes new collaborations and develops her workshop.
She exhibits her work in various venues in France and abroad. Her pieces have been seen in places such as the CIAV in Meisenthal, the MIAM in Sète, the Musée National de Sèvres, the Caring Gallery, the Creative Hub Luxembourg, the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich, and the Grand Hornu.
